Road Work: Areas in or around where road work is being performed may experience discolored water and/or air in the water lines.

Street Sweeping : MVD’s hydrants are used to fill the sweepers with water for dust control. Due to this you may notice pressure fluctuations as well as discolored water as naturally occurring minerals, such as iron sediment, can be stirred-up in the water supply.
